A Living Frontier Campaign for Players Who Want Their Choices to Matter

Edgewall

At the edge of the known world stands Edgewall.

A boomtown of relic hunters, mercenaries, scholars, opportunists, exiles, and desperate dreamers. Beyond its lanterns lie ruined megacities, drowned roads, old battlefields, impossible forests, and places civilized maps refuse to name.

What is Edgewall?

Edgewall is a West Marches-style tabletop RPG campaign from Rebel Raven Gaming Company: a player-driven, expedition-based game where you choose the jobs, gather the party, schedule the session, and push deeper into a dangerous living world.

No fixed party.

No waiting for the plot.

No guarantee you return.

Just the road, the rumor, the firelight, and the question every adventurer must answer:

What are you willing to risk for the story they’ll tell about you?

What Makes Edgewall Different?

Most campaigns ask you to show up and follow the story. Edgewall asks you to help create one.

Each expedition begins in town. Players hear rumors, weigh opportunities, choose a destination, gather companions, and venture into the unknown. What you discover becomes part of the shared world. What you fail to stop may grow stronger. What you bring back may change the balance of power.

The map remembers.

The factions remember.

The wilderness remembers.

And sooner or later, maybe even the dead.

This is a campaign built for players who want exploration, consequence, discovery, danger, and genuine agency.

How the Campaign Works

Edgewall is designed around flexible scheduling and player choice.

Instead of one fixed group meeting every week, players belong to a larger campaign community. When an expedition opportunity opens, players organize a party, choose a goal, and schedule a session.

Available expedition nights may include:

  • Friday evenings
  • Sunday evenings
  • Monday evenings

Players choose what to pursue from the opportunity board: rumors, contracts, mysteries, faction requests, treasure leads, monster sightings, strange omens, and unfinished business from previous expeditions.

A typical expedition includes:

  • Choose a rumor, job, or destination.
  • Gather a party.
  • Prepare supplies and decide a route.
  • Venture beyond Edgewall.
  • Face danger, discovery, and hard choices.
  • Return to town with loot and a story, or fail to return at all.

The campaign continues between expeditions as the world reacts to what the players do.
